October 15, 2026: Sidekick Integration

Integrated BookX with Shopify Sidekick to help merchants manage and understand their appointment bookings directly from Shopify Admin. Merchants can find bookings, check real-time availability, review services and team schedules, understand customer booking history, and troubleshoot common booking issues. The following Sidekick capabilities are available in BookX: Booking Search – Finds bookings using customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, order numbers, services, dates, or booking statuses. Merchants can view booking details, payment information, assigned team members, and locations. Schedule Overview – Shows upcoming appointments for a specific date, team member, location, or the entire team, helping merchants plan their daily schedules. Slot Availability – Checks available appointment slots for specific services, team members, and locations. Considers working hours, existing bookings, capacity, lead times, blackout dates, and calendar conflicts. Service & Team Setup – Explains configured services, appointment durations, capacity limits, team member availability, working hours, locations, and booking restrictions. Integrations & Notifications – Provides information about connected integrations, including Google Calendar, Zoom, and other supported services. Merchants can also review customer email notifications and reminders. Plan Information – Shows the current BookX subscription, available features, and comparisons with other plans to help merchants understand their options. Booking Troubleshooting – Helps identify common booking issues, such as missing booking widgets, unavailable slots, overbookings, or missing bookings after payment. Provides possible causes and links to relevant settings. Setup Guide & Support – Answers configuration questions using BookX help center documentation, with step-by-step instructions and links to relevant articles. Merchants can also find options to contact support. BookX's Sidekick integration is primarily read-only. Merchants can review information and navigate to the relevant settings, but bookings and app configurations cannot be directly modified through the BookX integration.
